Search Masks

Use Exclude Masks and Include Masks to specify which spectral regions to use during searching. Exclude and Include Masks are represented by colored areas in their respective Range Bars, and excluded areas are grayed out in the spectral display area.

You can create masks using the Exclude and Include Range Bars in the spectral display area:

To resize a mask, with your cursor in the Range Bar, place the cursor toward the outer edge of a mask region until the resize cursor appears. Use this cursor to resize masks by clicking and dragging mask boundaries.

To move a mask, with your cursor in the Range Bar, click on the region you wish to move. The move cursor appears. Use this cursor to drag the entire mask to a new position.

To remove a mask, with your cursor in the Range Bar, click on the region you wish to remove. The move cursor appears. Use this cursor to drag the entire mask out of the spectral display area. You can also right click on a region within the Range Bar, then click OK to remove it.
