Pivot Tool

To change a template structure's pivot bond and pivot atom, choose the Pivot tool  in the Chemistry toolbar.

• Note: The color of pivot bonds and atoms is set on the Measurements tab of the Preferences Dialog Box; choose File > Preferences.  

• Select the Pivot tool and click on the midpoint of the bond you wish to designate as the pivot bond. Then click on one of the attached atoms to designate the pivot atom.

• This tool is only available when a template document is open.
