Customize Chemistry Toolbar

Customize Chemistry Toolbar enables the user to make changes to the default layout of tools within the Chemistry toolbar.  

• First, open the Customize Chemistry Toolbar window using either of the following methods:

  • Choose Edit > Customize Chemistry Toolbar.

  • Right click in the Chemistry toolbar to open the Chemistry Toolbar Pop-Up Menu, then click Customize Toolbar.

• The Toolbar Customization dialog box opens, with the Groups area in the upper left, the Tools in group area at the lower left, and the full set of Tools at the right.

• The Groups area lists the current sections of the Chemistry toolbar. You can add, delete, or rename these sections by clicking the appropriate button and entering any requested information.

• When you make a selection in the Groups area, the tools in that group appear in the Tools in group area. To remove a tool from this group, select the tool and click Delete.

• Any tools not currently shown in the Tools in group list appear in the Tools area. Use the drop-down list to view all tools, including predefined sets of tools and structures in template files.

  • Note: Templates will not be visible unless the folders are listed on the Preferences: Templates/Styles tab.

• To add tools to the displayed group, select the tool or tools in the Tools area and click Add selected item(s) to group.

• You can return the Chemistry toolbar to its default configuration by clicking Default in the lower corner of the Toolbar Customization dialog box.
