The main AnalyzeIt IR, AnalyzeIt Raman, and AnalyzeIt Polymer IR application main window is split into several sections or panes.
The screen image below has 'hot spots' that can be clicked to learn about the various parts of the main AnalyzeIt window. As you move your cursor over the screen image, watch for the pointer that indicates the presence of a hot spot.
In the AnalyzeIt IR and AnalyzeIt Raman applications, the Structure pane (upper left) displays a structure drawing. The drawing can be loaded from a file or imported from the ChemWindow application.
The Selected Fragment Structure pane displays the fragment corresponding to the highlighted entry in the Functional Group Data pane.
In the AnalyzeIt Polymer IR application, the Notes pane (located below the Selected Fragment Structure pane) displays detailed information about the item currently selected in the Functional Group Data pane.
The Functional Group Data pane shows search results for a single correlation, a loaded structure, a functional group class, or a summary of collected data.
The Bar Chart pane (lower right) uses color-coded bars to visually link the information in the Functional Group Data pane with the spectrum displayed in the Spectrum pane.
The Summary + Bar Chart pane shows bars for entries in the Summary + tab.
The Spectrum pane (upper right) displays a spectrum loaded from a file or transferred from another KnowItAll Informatics System application.
The tabs at the bottom of the main window represent sets of search results and functional group classes. Unlike the other tabs, the Summary tabs are compiled manually. Summary + holds entries that you designate as definite matches; Summary - holds functional group types that you have eliminated from consideration.
The main window looks different when creating or editing a user knowledgebase:
The Functional Group Tree displays classifications, functional groups, and bands. Right clicking in this pane opens a pop-up menu with commands corresponding to the Knowledgebase menu.
The Structure Pane displays the structure fragment for the selected band. The structure is created by double clicking in the empty pane when a band is selected, which opens the ChemWindow application.
The Spectral Pane displays the reference spectrum and any bands defined for the current functional group. Right clicking in this pane opens a spectral pop-up menu, which allows you to define spectral display properties.
The Notes Pane includes user-defined information for the currently selected functional group or band.
